Transcriptome Analysis of Ginkgo biloba L. Leaves across Late Developmental Stages Based on RNA-Seq and Co-Expression Network

The final size of plant leaves is strictly controlled by environmental and genetic factors, which coordinate cell expansion cycle activity in space time; however, the regulatory mechanisms leaf growth are still poorly understood. Ginkgo biloba a dioecious species native to China with medicinally phylogenetically important characteristics, its fan-shaped unique gymnosperms, while mechanism G. development remains unclear. In this study we studied transcriptome at three developmental stages using high-throughput RNA-seq technology. Approximately 4167 differentially expressed genes (DEGs) were obtained, total 12,137 structure optimized together 732 new identified. More than 50 growth-related factors gene modules identified based on DEG Weighted Gene Co-expression Network Analysis. These results could remarkably expand existing resources biloba, provide references for subsequent analysis ginkgo development.
